Weidmüller GTI Software equips the Coppenrath & Wiese confectionery with the ResMa® energy management system. This system enables the baked goods manufacturer to generate an exact, site-wide overview of its energy consumption. With the data obtained from production and administration, consumption irregularities and potential for reducing energy consumption are quickly identified and the effectiveness of the measure can also be directly evaluated using the ResMa® process and energy optimisation software.

Company founder Achim Schreck hands over the management of Weidmüller GTI Software GmbH after 37 years
Julien Rausch, previously Technical Director, will succeed Achim Schreck as Managing Director of Weidmüller GTI Software GmbH on 1 January 2024.
Achim Schreck founded GTI on 1 March 1987 and has successfully managed the fortunes of the company ever since. He will remain with the company as a shareholder and will also dedicate himself to new projects in the field of new energy.
The new management team at Weidmüller GTI Software GmbH consists of Julien Rausch, Fabian Hoppe and Dr Thomas Bürger.

DIN EN ISO 50001 compliant energy management
With its software product "ResMa® ", the company Weidmüller GTI Software GmbH offers a holistic concept for energy monitoring, energy management and energy efficiency assessment. An important part of Weidmüller GTI Software's corporate philosophy is the concept of sustainability, which includes saving energy and media and using resources responsibly.
Energy data management includes both the recording and presentation as well as the controlling of the energy processes in the company. In addition to recording and processing energy consumption, the possible hardware and software components also offer comprehensive functions such as data acquisition, energy forecasts, consumption monitoring or network and load profiles. The hardware used for these systems is our own tested field and automation systems in the form of meters, multifunctional measuring devices, data loggers or process computers. Weidmüller GTI ensures the suitability of the third-party systems via maintenance and supply contracts and can thus optimally safeguard the quality process.
The certification is based on the TÜV SÜD standard "Energy Data Management". For validity over the full certification cycle, the prerequisite is the successful completion of annual surveillance audits (on-site or remote) to ensure that the certified parts of the company continue to meet the requirements of the fundamentals.
Weidmüller GTI Software actively supports its customers in the recording, monitoring, measurement and analysis of energy sources and energy consumers. The requirements of the new ISO 50001 standards are consistently implemented. TÜV SÜD once again certifies Weidmüller GTI Software after thorough testing that the ResMa® system comprehensively meets the defined standard and requirements. (Since the first certification in 2012)

Worldwide rollout of energy management to many more sites
Connectors provide direct access to information from a wide range of industrial control systems and measurement technology, for instance for recording energy usage via current and gas, or process values from the PLC. The recorded data is further processed in a batch and product-oriented manner. This makes it possible to identify system-specific influences on the same product, and benchmarks can be easily established across locations. The Knauf Group uses the energy and resource manager ResMa® from Weidmüller GTI Software for this purpose.
